Merhaba, ben Işık İlkörücü (d.1984, Türkiye), alaylı bir ressamım ve İsveç’te yaşıyorum.
Sanata ve yaratıcılığa olan tutkum çok küçük yaşlarımdan beri kimliğimi oluşturan en güçlü öğe oldu. Hayatım boyunca duygu ve düşüncelerimi resimlerimle ifade ettim. Evler, şehirler, ülkeler, kıtalar, yaşamlar değiştirdim. Hayatımdaki tek sabit element ise resim yapmak oldu.
En büyük ilhamı yaşamın kendisinde ve bendeki yansımalarında buluyorum. Ayrıca doğa, seyahatlerimde dünyanın farklı noktalarında keşfettiğim materyal ve dokular bana ilham veriyor. Genellikle akrilik, mürekkep ve yağlı pastellerle çalışıyorum ancak tek bir teknik ya da malzeme ile sınırlı kaldığım söylenemez. Ödüllerle onurlandırıldım ve farklı platformlarda çalışmalarımı sergileme şansım oldu.
Resimlerimi yaratırken zamansız, farklı, yeni bir dünyaya dalıyorum. Bu süreç benim için kişisel bir seramoni gibi. Kural ve kaidelerden uzak, önceden eskizlerle planlanlamadan resme başlıyorum. Bazı çalışmalarımı önceden eskizle planlamak zaten pek de mümkün değil… Bana göre en duru duygular ancak böyle açığa çıkabiliyor ve sonuç her zaman otantik kalıyor. Kişisel olarak resimlerim bana yapıldığı günü ve taşıdığım zıtlıklarla dolu harmoniyi hatırlatıyor.
Hi, I am Isik Ilkorucu (b.1984, Turkey) a self-taught artist currently living in Sweden.
My passion for art and creativity has grown as the strongest part of my identity ever since I was little. Throughout my life, I have always been expressing my feelings and thoughts through painting. I have been changed homes, cities, countries, continents and lives and the only constant element of my life was painting.
My greatest source of inspiration is the elements of life and their reflections on me. I also find inspiration in nature and different kind of materials and textures that I have discovered in different parts of the world during my travels. In general I work with acrylic, ink and oil pastels however I cannot tell that I focus on a single technique or material. I have several recognitions and awards and have had chance to exhibit in various platforms.
I feel like that I dive into a new world, a certain timeless moment during creating my art. It is a personal ceremony for me. I’m not following any rules or guidelines, I always start painting straight on the canvas without sketching beforehand. Also some of my pieces are not possible to sketch beforehand anyway… That way I know that only the purest emotions get through and the end result always stays authentic. For me personally, each of my painting is a reminder of the day it was painted and the most contradictory harmonies that I was carrying through.
